Last year, we expanded our accommodations to
include 2 new cabins with kitchenettes. Guests staying in the
new cabins have been pleasantly surprised at how cute and cozy
they are.
Each cabin has one queen bed – perfect for a couple
on a relaxing get-away. A futon is also provided, and
can be made up into a full size bed if necessary, thus accommodating
a small family. These cabins have a bathroom with shower, and
a small kitchen which includes a propane stove as well as a
small refrigerator.
The cabins do have electricity and heat
but they are "off-grid" so
part of the fun is learning how to conserve power and deal
with alternative energy sources. Luxuries such as toasters
and microwave ovens are not provided, as they use too much
power to work on this type of system.
Fully equipped with dishes and cooking utensils you will find
what you need to prepare your meals. Be sure to bring with
you all the food you wish to have, as there are no grocery
stores in the valley. Guests staying in these cabins can reserve
any of the meals served at the Ranch (breakfast, lunch, and/or
dinner), in which case your meals will be added to your room
bill. You also have the mobility to go to the Bakery or the
Resort for meals. There are some days during the late season
when the Ranch Restaurant and the Bakery are not open so be
sure to check on this when reserving your space so that you
know what is available.
The cabins come with a vehicle that is
yours to use while you are here. It will be full of
fuel when you arrive, and we ask that you leave the tank
full when you depart.
